How it started?

In 1996, the wife of the General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (“RCCG”) Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye (also known as “Mummy GO”) visited the mission fields of RCCG in West African.

Her findings can be summarized in one phrase “the mission fields urgently require assistance.” This led to the birth of the West African Missions Committee that focused on assisting all RCCG missions based in countries in the West Africa sub- region by ensuring that they have the basic infrastructure with which to function. The scope of the committee was enlarged to include the rest of Africa after Mummy GO again visited the missions in Central, East and South Africa. The name of the committee has been changed to Africa Missions. To date, Africa Missions has global chapters in Nigeria, Canada, Europe Region 1 (The Netherlands), Europe Region 2 (Spain), Europe Region 3 (Sweden & Belgium), United Kingdom (Wales), United Kingdom (England), United Kingdom (Scotland) and United Kingdom (Ireland).
